We’re at a turning point in the world where sustainable development is no longer enough. Companies across our industry should strive to go further, look towards regeneration, and ensure they leave a positive and lasting impact on the places we live, work, and travel.

At Red Sea Global, we are a pioneer in responsible development. We are committed to delivering a growing portfolio of destinations that actively enhance the wellbeing of guests, communities, employees, and the environment.

Through this, we will help to sustain and grow the limited resources essential for the needs of our future generations. Using fewer resources or benefiting the most from certain materials or renewable resources when building and operating is a key example of our philosophy.

While we are committed to the development of cost-effective and regenerative destinations, we never compromise our guests’ experience. Instead, we want to propel tourism to higher standards.

But how is this possible when operating on limited resources? The answer is simple; we need to think of ways that could maximize our utilization with optimal efficiency. In short, we cannot afford waste.

In the context of tourism, waste relates to anything generated. This includes delays in receiving much-needed information, customer dissatisfaction, unnecessary movements, and duplication. It also covers lack of communication, inventory issues, and lost opportunities.

According to Virtuoso’s 2021 sustainability survey, which assessed high-end travellers’ sentiment regarding purposeful travel, 78% of respondents believed choosing travel companies with a strong sustainability policy is important.

What similar examples can be seen at Red Sea Global’s ambitious and regenerative tourism destinations, The Red Sea and Amaala?

Guests at any of our destinations will have access to seamless connectivity across the entire destination, and all the required information is a just click away through our travel guide-Mobile App.

Furthermore, guests will be able to receive their luggage at the high-end resort of their choice, eliminating the inconvenience of waiting at baggage reclaim and potential luggage delays. Their preference of room setup ¬¬¬- including active systems such as lighting and air conditioning - are in sync with conditions outside and guests’ proximity to their room, simultaneously securing their needs and saving energy.

As part of the 29 smart services offered at Phase One of The Red Sea (Red Sea Global’s first destination to operate), we will offer highly affluent visitors a stream of luxury technology.  This includes smart luggage, seamless internet, smart EV charging, smart irrigation, smart mobility and fleet optimization. Simultaneously, these assure the visitor’s view of the pristine Red Sea landscape is uninterrupted without overcrowding or pollution.

Our guests will be able to enjoy a variety of thriving greenery and flowers across our destinations. We will control inventory, execute preventative strategies, and take real-time measurements to ensure soil nutrient quality and exact water levels. Smart sensors will be utilized in pipes to detect leaks, minimizing the loss of water and time, and helping to preserve soil nutrients.

Eventually, customized automation, with the help of smart technology and data analysis, will be the ultimate solution to create a highly personalised experience for guests, that optimizes visitor capacity and minimizes energy usage and waste.
