- Two agreements to support local suppliers and enhance environmental initiatives in Umluj.
Riyadh,26 September 2025: Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has signed two cooperation agreements with Sakan Association for Family Development and Green Umluj Association as part of efforts aimed at fostering sustainable community development and environmental protection.
These partnerships are in line with RSG’s unwavering commitment to support and empower communities surrounding its destinations. RSG signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sakan Association for Family Development in Umluj Governorate, aimed at integrating local suppliers in the supply chain of The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations.
The MoU seeks to enhance supplier readiness through tailored training and development programs, boosting their operational efficiency and creating wider opportunities for growth. The partnership also focuses on supporting products and services that reflect the region’s authentic cultural and artistic identity, in order to preserve local heritage and enrich the tourism experience. The agreement includes provisions for providing a flexible working environment for suppliers and exchanging best practices in sustainability and heritage protection.
On the environmental front, RSG signed an agreement partnership with the Green Umluj Association to strengthen joint environmental initiatives and volunteer programs, in order to support efforts to safeguard the marine and terrestrial ecosystems and ensure their sustainability. This collaboration builds on previous successful initiatives between the two parties, most notably the mangrove planting campaign, which saw strong participation from local communities.
The agreements were signed in the presence of Eng. Ahmad Ghazi Darwish, Group Chief Administrative Officer.
These initiatives are fully aligned with Red Sea Global’s comprehensive strategy, which integrates environmental, economic, and social dimensions while placing local suppliers at the heart of ambitious national projects supporting the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
