- Daraah International School opens its doors to support AMAALA’s growing community
Riyadh, 03 Sep 2026: Red Sea Global (RSG), the regenerative tourism developer, today opened Daraah International School in partnership with SEK Education Group. Located within the employee residential community at AMAALA, the opening reinforces the company’s commitment to providing an integrated living and working environment for its people and their families.
Daraah International School provides international education that follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum across the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). It provides students with an inquiry-based, internationally recognized education that emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and global citizenship.
“Destinations are more than bricks and mortar – they are the people who bring them to life. Daraah International School is part of building a community where people can live, raise their families and build lasting connections. As AMAALA grows, we are building the services and infrastructure that make it a place people are proud to call home,’’
The inauguration was attended by Red Sea Global Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), John Pagano,, alongside other representatives from RSG, SEK Education Group and Majid Al-Kuair, Director General of Education in the Tabuk Region. John Pagano and Nieves Segovia formally marked the opening of the school.
Daraah International School follows SEK’s innovative educational model, combining active learning, advanced technology and collaborative learning environments. Its curriculum and learning experiences place a strong focus on sustainability, wellbeing, innovation and marine sciences, reflecting AMAALA’s unique natural environment and positioning as a destination for wellbeing and regenerative tourism.
The campus features state-of-the-art science and technology laboratories, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, performing arts and music spaces, collaborative learning environments, a library and media center, and dedicated wellbeing and student support areas, designed to support an engaging and future-focused learning experience while reflecting RSG’s commitment to sustainable development
Nieves Segovia, President of SEK Education Group, said: “Education is an essential part of creating a thriving community. Daraah International School will provide families living and working at AMAALA with an exceptional learning environment, while supporting our vision to develop a destination where people and nature can thrive together. It is another step in delivering the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.”
Daraah International School follows Turtle Bay International School, which opened at The Red Sea last year. Both schools enable employees working at the destinations to settle with their families in a model community offering essential services, modern amenities, and, most importantly, world-class education for their children.
