The company has been awarded the ISO 27001 certification, a globally recognized standard for information security management systems.

Riyadh, (14 December 2021): Red Sea Global (formerly known as TRSDC), the developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism project, has been awarded the prestigious ISO 270001:2013 for its esteemed information security management system and compliance with national and international standards.

SGS, a world-leading testing, inspection and certification company has conducted an audit and examined RSG’s systems, internal frameworks, and processes to ensure adherence to best practices and standards of internal and effective management of information security in construction organizations.

RSG was awarded the ISO 27001:2013 for successfully establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving its information security management system, as well as efficiently assessing and treating information security risks that could affect the business.

"This is a great result for RSG and demonstrates yet again how we are leading the way as we develop world-class tourist destinations in the Kingdom. Maintaining state-of-the-art security across our projects is of the upmost importance to us, and we’re committed to evolving our own systems and sharing any knowledge gained with the industry, both here in the Kingdom and further afield, "
Said John Pagano, Group CEO of RSG.

RSG has been committed to achieving excellent information security practices since the inception of the company in 2017 and has been developing its processes ever since.

By adopting a globally recognized information security management standard (ISMS), RSG has ensured that security is part of company culture and resilience to cyber threats is strengthened.

“This certification is an important achievement for RSG and demonstrates our dedication to ensuring strong information security across the company. The certification is also a testament to the hard work and talent within our cyber security team, which has grown significantly over the past two years and will continue to go from strength to strength,”

said Sultan Moraished, Chief Information Security Officer of RSG.

Earlier this year, RSG became the first asset owner in the world to achieve the prestigious BIM Project Kitemark for its digital project delivery and adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) aligned to ISO19650, awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI).

The organization also became one of the first companies in the Middle East to achieve the ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management for design and construction of assets, and was awarded ISO31000:2018 certification, the International Organization for Standardization’s highest available standard in risk management.

The Red Sea has already passed significant milestones and work is on track to welcome the first guests by the end of 2022.

Phase one, which includes 16 hotels in total, will complete in 2023. Upon completion in 2030, The Red Sea will comprise 50 resorts, offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and more than 1,000 residential properties across 22 islands and six inland sites.

The destination will also include an international airport, luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, and leisure facilities.
