Shura is the main hub island at The Red Sea. With a natural dolphin shape, the island is one of 92 in our archipelago and home to stunning vistas, incredible native fauna and flora, and beautiful wildlife. Due to open to guests in 2024, the island will house 11 world-class hotels and resorts including Edition, Fairmont, Raffles, SLS, InterContinental, Jumeirah, Miraval, Rosewood and Grand Hyatt brands. Guests will have a wide choice of experiences and attractions to enjoy, including an 18-hole championship golf course, a marina and a beach club, as well as a variety of luxury retail options.

Shura Island Design

The design concept for Shura Island is known as Coral Bloom because of how it carefully blends in with the pristine natural beauty of the surrounding landscapes. With their nature-inspired designs, the Shura hotels will give guests a unique barefoot luxury experience like no other place on earth.
While having a shared master design, the resorts will offer distinct villas and experiences, and will be enjoyed by a range of guests, from honeymooners and families to adventure seekers and wellness lovers.
The buildings have been designed to provide natural defenses from erosion, while new habitats have been created through landscaping that enhances the island’s natural state.
This is the Toolkit that we have developed at The Red Sea Global (RSG), and will continue to follow, and are now proudly sharing for the benefit of all.

First Joint Venture Agreement with Al Mutlaq Group for The Red Sea

RSG has announced that it has entered into a Joint Venture (JV) agreement with Al Mutlaq Real Estate Investment Co. (AREIC), a subsidiary of the Al Mutlaq Group (AMG).

Completion of The Structural Work on Shura Bridge

Structural work on the 1.2km long Shura Bridge is complete. The iconic crossing connects mainland Saudi Arabia to our central hub island at #TheRedSea and is an essential piece of opening phase one #LeadingTheWay

Progress on Shura Island

Check out this video update from our hub island Shura, where we're building 11 world-class resorts that will open as part of phase one of #TheRedSea. Land upfill and soil compaction are mostly complete in preparation for the construction of the hotels, with some tenders for concrete, steel and precast work awarded and others coming to market to soon.

We’re delighted to announce that today we officially opened our 3.3 km Shura Bridge, connecting the Saudi west coast mainland with our hub island #Shura where 11 of the 16 hotels we’re opening in phase one will be.
