OUR ASSETS

Red Sea International Airport

Red Sea International Airport (RSI) opened for domestic flights in 2023, with flights from Riyadh and Jeddah. In April 2024, RSI started operating international services, with a twice weekly flight from Dubai. More overseas destinations are set to be announced.

Ummahat Islands

Ummahat is home to two of our most exclusive resorts: The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, our second hotel to open, and Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, which will open in 2024. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and an abundance of coral reefs, the island offers new levels of luxury.

Landscape Nursery

At over 1 million square meters, our Landscape Nursery is the largest in the region and part of our planet-first approach to enriching the natural environment and setting new standards in sustainable development. The nursery opened in 2020, and we have grown more than 5 million plants from a target of 30 million by 2030 for The Red Sea and Amaala.

Desert Rock

Set in a hidden valley and nestled between the mountains, Desert Rock is a 60-key luxury hotel where guests can immerse themselves in nature on a whole new level while offering unparalleled luxury. It is one of two inland resorts opening as part of phase one of The Red Sea destination.

Turtle Bay Village

Turtle Bay Village opened in 2023 as a state-of-the-art residential town for Red Sea Global staff working at The Red Sea destination. Housing around 6,000 of the 14,000 employees that will eventually live there, this flourishing community also includes Turtle Bay Hotel for staff, contractors, and business guests.

Sheybarah Island is home to Shebara Resort, the first announced hotel to be entirely operated by Red Sea Global. A 45-minute boat ride from the coast, Sheybarah Island offers exclusivity and bliss.

Location

Red Sea International Airport is 90km south of Al Wajh in the west of Saudi Arabia. A transit hub for visitors, it is easily accessible, with 250 million people within just three hours’ flying time.

Transport to and from RSI

If you are staying at The Red Sea destination, you will be transported via seaplane, luxury yacht, or electric vehicle to and from RSI.

Airside contract award

13 JULY 2020 We awarded our biggest contract to date to an all-Saudi joint venture between Nesma & Partners and Almabani for airside infrastructure works for the destination’s international airport, set to open in 2022. The contract was awarded to support the creation of a sustainable gateway which will open up Saudi Arabia to the world.
